About the Webmaster

Completing All 20 in Ottawa.
My name is Kevin Jordan and I've supported the London Knights since I was 5. You're probably wondering at this point what an Ontario boy is doing maintaining a website dedicated to the QMJHL. Well, in the 2004-05 season I finished visiting every OHL arena, and that same year, the day before finishing all 20 in Ottawa, I went to my first Q game in Drummondville. The next season, 2005-06, I moved to St John's, Newfoundland to attend grad school, and in so doing, became a proper QMJHL/St. John's Fog Devils fan. Now, I'm back in Southern Ontario, but the taste for new experiences, new frontiers to visit, and expanding my knowledge of the CHL hasn't left me. Besides, Montreal is only seven hours away, so it's not like a lot of the Q is out of reach. Do I have a hope in hell of getting to, say, Baie-Comeau anytime soon? Not a chance. But I make these websites for my own amusement first, and this is my way of expanding my interests into new frontiers while hopefully providing something that Q fans in Atlantic Canada, Quebec, and Maine can get something out of.
In the real world, I'm living in London again and I work as a Brokerage Manager for the insurance arm of a Bay Street securities firm.

Favourite Movies: My favourite movies are the ones from the late 1950's and early 1960's when they had a certain black and white ambience but a modern "cool", such as The Hustler, Sweet Smell of Success, etc. I also enjoy a lot of older (The Grapes of Wrath, The Third Man), foreign (La Grand Illusion, M) and modern/indie (This is Spinal Tap, 24 Hour Party People) flicks, as well as the occasional stupid comedy.
Favourite Bands: I'm primarily into the 1980's post-punk underground - American bands like Mission of Burma and the Replacements, British pop like XTC and the Housemartins, and Southern jangle-pop like the dB's or Guadalcanal Diary. In addition, I love bands from the "Canadian Rock Renaissance" of the 1990s, bands like Barenaked Ladies and Lowest of the Low. I also like some music that doesn't fit into those pigeonholes (from Talking Heads to Uncle Tupelo to Stan Rogers) but those are my main musical interests.
Favourite TV: I don't watch a lot of TV, but Britcoms like the Young Ones, Monty Python, Father Ted, Black Adder and Fawlty Towers are my favourites. I also enjoy the Simpsons (back when they didn't suck) and Family Guy.
